Katerina is an economist, a specialist in Social Economy from the Universidad de Los Andes, and a specialist in Project Management and Management Skills from the Universidad de la Sabana. She has studies in human rights, senior management, strategic planning, and leadership.

In her 16 years of professional career, she has been linked to the public and the private sector focused on the direction, planning, and management of international cooperation projects for the guarantee of human rights and development, the strengthening of institutional capacity, and developments in science, technology, and innovation.

In the public sector, she served as coordinator of International Cooperation for the programs of the Presidency of the Republic of Colombia: Directorate for Action Against Antipersonnel Mines (today OACP – AICMA Group) and the Youth Program – Colombia Joven (today Presidential Council for Youth), and as Coordinator of Industrial and Social Cooperation of the Ministry of National Defense.

She has extensive knowledge and training in Mine Action in Colombia, having worked for more than 7 years in this sector. During her time in the Colombia Joven program, she led and supported the process of participatory construction of the Conpes document on National Youth Policy, in workshops with leaders of youth organizations, state entities at the national, departmental, and local levels, and other actors. relevant. In addition to consolidating the cooperation table for youth, together with the Presidential Agency for Social Action and the ICBF. In her role as Coordinator of Industrial and Social Cooperation in the Ministry of Defense, she developed the Plan to Strengthen the National Policy for Industrial and Social Cooperation – Offset, through the formulation of a new Conpes policy document and the implementation of the cooperation project to strengthen the national capacity for the assessment, follow-up, and evaluation of the Offset projects that are delivered to the country.
