I am a person who represents the encounter between three fundamental concepts: territory, race and gender. I am a researcher and activist committed to climate change and social justice. I have a Master’s degree in Sociology from the Universidad de los Andes and I was a Francisco Pizano de Brigard scholar at the same institution. I also have an undergraduate degree in Political Science from the same university, with emphasis in comparative politics and international relations. With 5 years of experience, I have been part of ecofeminist and climate activism in order to build a better future. I have had the opportunity to work in the Colombian Foreign Ministry, as a consultant in Transforma and Climate Focus. Ultimately, in spaces that contribute to environmental public policy with rigor. Currently I am environmental projects manager at Movilizatorio, a place that leads me to merge my interests and experience in climate, energy, financing and research.
My emphasis is the activation of a Just Energy Transition (TEJ), with actors and in sectors that have constructive and inclusive will. I believe that climate change is the news of the 21st century and, in a committed way, I contribute with my profession and the creation of creative social solutions crossed by an intersectionality approach to environmental issues. With this original and reflective vision, I try to get new generations to join climate activism.
My call is for all people who want to be part of the change to join in building collective solutions to address climate change, transform our societies and make us a humanity more respectful of nature and natural resources in general. I believe that Movilizatorio is an ideal place to contribute to building an environmentally responsible future and I am very proud to work here.
