I am Sebastián, I was born in Pasto and I consider myself a curious and contemplative person; I like to feel, listen and observe what surrounds me to transform it into new learning and experiences that I can remember and share. I studied Social Communication at the Javeriana University, where I also did a diploma in Branding. In addition, I have a specialization in Digital Marketing Management from Universidad del Rosario. For more than four years, I have worked in press and communications teams in various sectors, contributing to the design and implementation of communication and digital marketing strategies, audiovisual production and social media campaigns that connect with key audiences and generate engagement.
I recently led the communications of sustainable mobility and road safety projects in the Department of Nariño, where I also worked closely with indigenous communities in the region. Currently, in Movilizatorio, I coordinate the communications of the Media Education projects, which seek to raise awareness in society about the importance of being well informed in an increasingly digital world. My goal is to contribute from my field to the fight against disinformation, fake-news and polarization in Latin America, promoting changes at a social and governmental level.
I deeply believe in the power of purposeful communication. My focus is to promote social and environmental impact projects that raise awareness in communities, encourage their active participation and empower them to transform their own realities. I especially identify with causes that promote environmental protection, cultural diversity, access to quality education and violence reduction. Personally, I enjoy movies, hiking in the mountains and moors, and I am passionate about origin coffee – of course, if it’s from Nariño, all the better.
If you share the conviction that the world needs change to build a better future, we invite you to join Movilizatorio. Here, your voice has the power to make a difference!
