Study on the stigmatization discourse of social leaders
For a diverse, active, supportive, peaceful, collaborative, informed and sustainable country.
What is it?
Together with USAID and Chemonics, we conducted an analysis of hate speech and stigmatization on social networks and the internet to provide recommendations to the national and international human rights community to guide future campaigns on the issue of assassinations and threats to leaders.
Challenge
Develop strategies to analyze hate speech and stigmatization around social leadership, with the objective of raising awareness about this problem and promoting the creation of collective actions that reject assassinations and attacks.
Strategy
Establish which are the main senders and receivers of stigmatizing messages through data mining. These measurements were made by monitoring social networks and following up on specific moments such as the implementation of campaigns.
