She was a professor and researcher in the Department of Political Science at the Universidad de los Andes, from 1975 to 2009, as well as Director of the Department (1995-1996) and member of the University&#8217;s board of directors (2005-2007). Founder &#8211; and director for 12 years &#8211; of Congreso Visible, the first Colombian congressional monitoring committee.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Elisabeth was an advisor to President Barco (1988-1990), and a member of numerous commissions and oversight committees for the election of members of the high courts and political and constitutional reform processes.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Elisabeth was elected to the TI board in 2011.
