I am passionate about development, change and social transformation. Degree in Social Communication and Marketing from Urbe, University. Leader of the Unidad de Acción Vallecaucana 2016, Fellow of Acumen 2019, Fellow 1,000 leaders for Colombia 2022, and Leader of Palabreo Compromiso Valle 2023. Since 2010 I have advanced efforts for the transformation and development of the hillside area of Cali. Director of the Pan Vivo Foundation and the Prisioneros de Esperanza collective, community-based organizations that work for community empowerment through education, food security, violence reduction and peace building. In Movilizatorio, I currently lead advocacy and territorial transformation actions in the Colombian Pacific.
I fervently believe that those of us who seek real transformations in the territories must generate humanizing actions, not humanitarian ones, because while humanitarian actions seek to attend to the needy hands that are extended, humanizing actions seek that the hands that are extended be less and less.
I identify myself with community-based organizations and less favored territories, I believe that by identifying the capacities installed in the communities it is possible to contribute to the generation of real and sustainable transformations in time.
My call to action is to achieve the articulation between the public, private and civil society sectors for the strengthening of community-based organizations and the generation of territorial transformations in the short and medium term.
