Jobs used to say “You can’t connect the dots by looking forward, you can only connect them by looking backwards”, after a long journey in the energy industry and asking myself the same question: What else can I do? I understood that the road travelled is only the starting point and that the future is yet to be built. This construction can only be possible by integrating nature and communities, not as an input and a client, but as a fundamental part of the equation.
I am a Civil Engineer graduated from the Catholic University of Colombia, with more than 18 years of experience in the private sector, mainly in the energy industry. I have worked in the conceptualization, design, construction and management of projects including solar farms, electrical substations and facilities for the energy sector (Oil And Gas). In addition, I have conducted studies in sustainable mobility, energy transition and strategic community management.
For more than 5 years I have been an environmental consultant and activist, participating in environmental and cycling groups in Bogotá, Medellín and currently in Cali, where I live. Through my work and activism, I aim to promote the use of bicycles as an efficient and sustainable means of transportation, decongest cities, improve air quality and find solutions to address climate change in harmony with nature.
At Movilizatorio, I am responsible for managing and coordinating work methodologies for the implementation of assigned projects and establishing partnerships with potential collaborators. I am convinced that the accumulation of small actions can lead to significant changes in our way of life.
