Guardians of tomorrow

The future is with indigenous and local communities

What is it?

In collaboration with the Ford Foundation, Purpose and CLUA, we highlight the fundamental role of indigenous and local communities in environmental protection. Through online and offline actions, we have created a platform that gives visibility to key leaders and communities in Central and South America, Africa and Indonesia. This effort allows them to gain greater visibility, power and negotiating capacity in local and international decision-making spaces, and strengthens their participation in the fight against climate change.

Challenge

Visibilize the role of indigenous and local communities as key agents in the fight against climate change.

Strategy

Design and implement an unbranded communication campaign that highlights the crucial role of indigenous and local communities in environmental protection. The strategy focuses on creative actions during key decision-making moments at local and international levels, with the aim of raising awareness and boosting their prominence in the climate agenda. It includes continuous social media coverage and strategic support before and during relevant events, as well as accompaniment and capacity building of the communication teams of the project participants and youth leaders involved.
