Committed to boosting women's contribution to peace building in Colombia
What is it?
Together with UN Women, Women’s Peace & Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) and the Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Participation (NIMD), we facilitated the participation of women signatories of the agreement and victims of the armed conflict in politics. This took place in 4 territories in Colombia: Bogotá, Medellín, Montes de María and Serranía del Perijá.
To influence the Government and Congress team (2022-2026 period), so that the voices and needs of women victims of the armed conflict and ex-combatants are taken into account when making decisions, as well as in the creation and implementation of policies.
Strategy
We designed a massive campaign that included the co-construction of a joint agenda with women victims of the conflict and signatories of the agreement. As part of this initiative, we executed several actions that generated spaces for conversation and dialogue, culminating with the delivery of the co-created agenda to the decision makers of Gustavo Petro’s government.
