Colombia Cares for Colombia

Alliance with more than 400 organizations from civil society and the private sector to respond to the crisis caused by COVID-19 and build long-term transformative social solutions, with which we raised more than 5.5 billion pesos.

El Avispero

A community with more than 147,000 agents of change that promotes initiatives that encourage citizen leadership to build a diverse, active, supportive and sustainable Colombia.

To have an impact in order to exist

A project, hand in hand with the United Nations Democracy Fund, to achieve effective advocacy led by more than 80 young people on local development plans for 2024-2028 in Colombia, strengthening their skills and capacities in campaigning, advocacy and policy formulation.

Colombia Resuena

Colombia Resuena is the first training cycle of El Avispero. It promoted citizen participation in the 2022 elections in Colombia by minimizing the effects of polarization and misinformation to support young people as agents of change, reaching more than 141,000 people.

Dialogue to move forward

Social mobilization and dialogue initiative with more than 64 spaces for citizen participation in Colombia, generating and collecting more than 600 proposals from the citizenry to be scaled up.

Avispando la Capital

Generation of spaces between citizens and presidential candidates with a reach of more than 126,000 people and more than 295,000 viewers.

Conversation and warning

We connected citizen proposals in 15 spaces with presidential and congressional candidates, with a reach of more than 231,000 people.

Youth 500

Strategy built together with young people and business representatives to create a vision of Bogota that allows youth to dream, grow and live with wellbeing. With a co-created agenda and a launch of the Youth 500 program.

Peacebuilding: We Are One Million

Empowerment of young people to participate in peace building in their territories. With more than 1,500 citizen proposals collected and delivered to the 4 candidates for Mayor of Bogota in 2019, through the newspaper Somos un Millón, created by Movilizatorio.

Collaborative leadership toolkit

Toolkit designed with the support of Konrad Adenauer Stiftung with which we seek to solve various gaps in collaborative leadership to 45 young people existing in the current context of the country and reflected in Buenaventura.

I Vacuum For

Digital campaign, with a reach of more than 685,000 people, in alliance with McCann, GSK and Colombia Cuida a Colombia to promote vaccination and publicize its benefits and how it can save lives.

Manual for the Good (to be)

We were encouraged to build an interactive document, with more than 14 partnerships, together with Purpose and the United Nations, to mitigate stress levels, domestic violence and raise the spirits of health professionals in the context of the pandemic, reaching more than 17,000 visits.

Voices of Power

Together with UNICEF, we implemented the second phase of a project that seeks to design, consolidate and scale youth initiatives for reconciliation, advocacy and participation, through the incorporation of new narratives and acquired skills, with a focus on violence prevention in Cali, Quibdó and Buenaventura.

Mae Kiwe

It is an intercultural commitment to build bridges and promote intersectional learning. With the aim of forging and strengthening a social and political environment in a safe and meaningful way for Afro-descendant and indigenous women, men and youth in Colombia. Especially for young women in Caloto, Jambaló, Cali and Quibdó.

Raise the voices and needs of women victims of the armed conflict and ex-combatants who signed the peace agreement to decision makers with a co-created agenda and 2 proposals included by a Congressman.

Let’s make peace

Together with the Ford Foundation, we seek to support peacebuilding through awareness-raising processes to reduce polarization and counteract divisive narratives in Colombian society. Reaching more than 1,360,000 people.

Eye on life

We seek to strengthen the work of more than 250 social leaders, encouraging citizen participation in the protection and prevention of attacks against their integrity through offline and online protection strategies with the collection of more than 1,400 signatures.

Co-Lead

Project that seeks to strengthen the work of social leaders and the creation of protocols and personalized strategies for the prevention and protection against violent attacks, according to their individual, organizational and territorial needs.

Saying and Doing

In partnership with the Swedish Embassy and UNDP, we seek to strengthen citizen participation at the local level with more than 230 leaders, through the collective construction of solutions and their implementation with technology and social innovation.

Let’s tone it down

In alliance with USAID and ACDI-VOCA we built a virtual test, with a participation of more than 15 thousand people, with the objective of raising awareness and measuring the levels of aggression among Colombian youth.

Cobblestone Roads

Movilizatorio and El Avispero, in collaboration with the Universidad de los Andes, carried out a dissemination strategy for the study ''Trayectorias de desarrollo de los jóvenes en el posconflicto: diagnóstico y propuestas de política'', with more than 176,500 interactions.

Study on the stigmatization discourse of social leaders

Initial diagnosis of the dynamics of hate speech and stigmatization of leaders in social networks (twitter, facebook and instagram), media (news, fan pages and internet forums) and political and social influencers (national and local authorities, politicians and journalists).

Guardians of tomorrow

Initiative to mobilize networks, organizations and public opinion to understand the fundamental role of indigenous communities in the prevention of climate change and make visible the problems they face in their struggle for the protection of the environment, reaching more than 4 million people.

Mobilization for artisanal fishing vessels

Strategy to implement capacity building tools for representatives, territorial organizations and actors involved in the artisanal fishing movement.

With the support of the Urban Movement Innovation Fund, we implemented different experimental campaigns in Bogota and Mexico City that change citizen behavior and promote public policies that help improve air quality.

mETamorphosis

Research on the use of clean energy and creation of an advocacy strategy to promote the use of renewable energy in Colombia and Mexico with a consolidated group of ambassadors.

Sacred Watersheds

Initiative for the generation of an action strategy for the Cuencas Sagradas de la Amazonía project to obtain the declaration of an oil moratorium in sacred and biodiverse territories of the Amazon in Peru and Ecuador, reaching the front page of the Financial Times thanks to our strategy.

Synod for the Amazon

With this project we developed an audience analysis, with more than 1,500 interviews, to understand and link the opinions of the Catholic population sympathetic to Bolsonaro in Brazil with environmental action.

Inclusive Justice

Comprehensive strategy to increase levels of satisfaction and trust in the justice system through behavioral change strategies involving more than 65 public servants and reaching more than 245,000 people.

Participate +

It is a model developed in partnership with the Corona Foundation, with more than 100 key learnings, which brings together theoretical and practical guidelines to promote effective citizen involvement.

Active Buenaventura

A project led together with USAID, Ford Foundation, Fundación Carvajal, Fundación Corona, ProPacífico, Gases de Occidente, Sociedad Portuaria de Buenaventura, Extituto de Política Abierta and the International Republican Institute with the objective of consolidating a participatory, critical and active citizenship in Buenaventura, reaching more than a thousand citizen reports and involving more than 300 leaders.

Massification and appropriation of open data

Project developed together with the Colombian Association for the Advancement of Science (ACAC), the Ministry of Information Technology and Communications - MINTIC and the Corona Foundation focused on designing and implementing a strategy of massification and appropriation of open data, aimed at three population focuses: private sector, civil society and academia.

Integra

Research bases for the construction of the strategy to address the migratory phenomenon in the country in 12 prioritized cities. Generating key documents to provide USAID with comprehensive inputs to develop its strategy for the integration of the migrant society.

DigiMENTE

Design, piloting, evaluation and socialization of a media literacy curriculum for young people in Latin America. Benefiting more than 229,000 students and reaching more than 5 million people.

Verificraks

Together with Digimente, Google and El Avispero we implemented a campaign to combat misinformation with free verification tools that trained 20 journalists and 10 influencers through 2 practical guides and audiovisual content.

Media education strategy to develop skills against misinformation, bullying and harassment in social networks with more than 1 million reproductions in TikTok, achieving that more than 42% increased their media skills and with more than 1,000,000 reproductions.

#PAZalavoz

Increase people's resilience to harmful content on the Internet (disinformation, hate speech, polarization) to promote peace building in the Colombian context by reaching 37 organizations and training 117 young people.

The art of joining

Research to better understand the nature of polarization and how to overcome it, with more than 60 women trained and the generation of an anti-polarizing guide.

I am digital: Responsible citizenship

We connect, accompany and train decision makers and digital citizens in general to promote the development of critical thinking skills and digital participation in a safe, critical and healthy way.

Internet user

Positioning Google as an actor that works for children and adolescents' safety on the Internet with more than 650 thousand people reached through a toolkit and a web page.

Join the Game

Together with the Lego Foundation and Purpose, we developed a laboratory in Colombia to position learning through play with more than 7,000 parents and caregivers mobilized, achieving 13 victories with 30 political influencers.

Influencer by nature

We designed a digital strategy to facilitate participation, intergenerational exchange and visibility of children and adolescents as actors of change in the care of the environment in virtual spaces with more than 22 thousand interactions in social networks and 15 environmental activities.
